Shotokan on the Palouse

There are two main organizations, who train and host events together on in the Palouse region of Washington and Idaho – the University of Idaho Shotokan Karate Club and the Washington State University Shotokan Karate Club. Under the leadership of Scott, Randall, Tim Daulton and Noah and Jennifer Tracy, the two clubs have grown into a thriving dojo.

Our organization is affiliated with the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF), headquartered in Philadelphia.

Master Okazaki, Chairman and Chief Instructor of the ISKF, was one of the first instructors sent to the United States in 1961 to spread the art of karate. The ISKF has clubs throughout the western hemisphere including Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

Classes are offered for anyone over seven years of age. Instruction is available for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
