"Sharing Observances, Utterances and Perspectives." Take a break from that "manic Monday" with soup and fellowship at the Campus Christian Center. Drop by anytime between 11:30 and 1:30 for delicious soups (vegetarian available) and conversation. Join us wednesday nights at 6:00 for Bible study to be followed by a delicious home-cooked meal with friends. Everyone is welcome regardless of denomination or background. We always enjoy seeing new faces. On the first wednesday of every month, we always have a non-denominational worship service lead by an area clergy. Come join the fun!
It went away for a while, but the Friday Morning Coffee Hour is back! Drop by on Friday morning between 9:30 and 11:30 for coffee, snacks and relaxation. Join us between the services at Emmanuel Lutheran for a brand new college-age bible study. This is a great way explore the scriptures together over treats and fellowship with your fellow students, even the ones who you see all the time but never have had the chance to meet before. We meet downstairs by the stage.
Currently UI Professor Kurt Queller is leading a discussion entitled "Jesus, Gender and Justice" that explores what the Bible has to say about gender equality and homosexuality. You might be surprised! Facilitated by Erica Nees and Seth Novak.

Join us at Emmanuel Lutheran Church located at 1036 West A Street Sunday mornings. Services are at 8:00 and 10:30, with adult and Sunday School classes in between services at 9:15 and fellowship after the second service. Whether you are looking for a Lutheran church to join or are just visiting different churches, Emmanuel offers a very friendly and welcoming environment. If you cannot join us for the service, you can listen to the sermons at 8:00 on KRPL AM 1400. On the fifth Sunday of the month, one service is held at 9:30.
