The following are the current officers for this student organization:
President -- Brian Einstein Lassiter
President -- Senior MSE Major, Physics Minor
Brian grew up in Spokane, WA and attended Northwestern University and Eastern Washington University. After retiring from a career in music, Brian returned to school to pursue a career in engineering. His research interests lie in the area of solar cells and optoelectronic materials, and he plans on attending graduate school in the coming fall. In addition to working in Dr. McIlroy’s lab on campus growing nanowires, Brian teaches saxophone lessons and plays in the Spokane latin Band Milonga.
Vice President -- Jared WoodSenior MSE and MET major
Jared grew up in southern California and has lived in northern Idaho for the last 11 years. He is married and has two children. His particular educational and career interests include structural composites and ceramic materials. Jared is currently employed as a laboratory assistant at the Idaho Micro-Electronics Laboratory (IML).
Treasurer -- James SchankeJames was born in Fort Worth, Tx and has moved quite a bit over the years. Currently, he calls Colorado home. He is majoring in Materials Science & Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering and is in his fourth out of five years.
