Center for Inquiry On Campus* is a branch of CFI that supports freethought on both college and high school campuses.

Freedom from Religion Foundation* is a nonprofit organization working for the separation of state and church.

Other Freethought Advocates

American Atheists was founded by Madalyn Murray O'Hair to advocate for the civil rights of atheists and to provide information about atheism.

American Humanist Association is the largest  and longest running humanist organization in America.

Americans United for the Separation of Church and State is an organization that advocates for separation of church and state.

Atheist and Agnostic Student Group is the secular group at WSU in Pullman which is just over the state line.

Center for Inquiry Transnational* promotes free inquiry, and is the umbrella organization for the following four branches .

Council for Secular Humanism is the founding branch of CFI.

Commission for Scientific Medicine and Mental Health is a CFI branch.

Committee for the Scientific Examination of Religion is a CFI branch.

Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal is a CFI branch.

Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association is an international secular organization that focuses upon the concerns of LGBT freethinkers.

Humanists of Idaho is a Boise Idaho based humanist group.

Institute for Humanist Studies promotes non-religious perspectives on social, political, and ethical issues and serves as a resource for and about the humanist community.

International Humanist Ethical Union is an humanist organization that defends human-rights and advances humanist values world-wide. It also has a consultative role with the United Nations.

National Coalition Against Censorship

Secular Student Alliance  is an organization that aids secular high school and college student groups.

SOMA University of Kansas  founding SOMA group.

Thomas Paine Institute is an international nonprofit institute dedicated to providing information on the life and influence of Thomas Paine.

Common Sense was a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine (1737-1809) that played a major role motivating the American Revolution. It was also Paine who suggested the name United States of America.
