The French Club at the University of Idaho was created in order to promote understanding of francophone cultures and the French language. Anyone who is interested in any aspect of French or francophone culture is welcome to participate in any of our activities. Organizational meetings are held at Bucer's in downtown Moscow, on Main Street. For dates and times, please contact us at the addresses below. Club activities are TBA, but generally take place in the evenings at a members’ house. Please see upcoming events for further details. Please write to Chrissy or Rob in order to be placed on our mailing list. Joining us is easy, just come to one of the events, which are pretty relaxed and a lot of fun. Don’t worry about your language capabilities. We try to speak French together depending upon the levels of French that are present. A lot of Franglais and English are spoken, too. UI offers various French classes in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature. These are open to all UI students. Please check the Course Catalogue for more information. We also have a French Conversation group that meets Thursdays at 3:30-4:30 in the Commons Café at the University. This is open to the students and the public. |
